Exhaust gas flow measurement devices are specialized instruments used in industrial stack emission monitoring systems.
Exhaust gas flow measurement is an environmental monitoring activity that has been widely implemented around the world. Emissions released from industrial stacks are monitored automatically and continuously. However, each country applies its own industrial emission monitoring standards, with adjustments made to suit specific national conditions and regulations.
Standards for Automatic and Continuous Exhaust Gas Flow Monitoring
Exhaust gas flow rate is the primary factor used to determine whether a facility or organization is required to install an emission monitoring system.
Facilities, organizations, and projects with emission sources having a total exhaust flow rate of ≥ 5,000 m³/h are required to implement an exhaust gas monitoring system to supervise emission activities and report data to the relevant government authorities. Mandatory monitoring parameters include flow rate, temperature, pressure, residual O₂, total dust, SO₂, NOx, and CO.

Note: (*) Excluding facilities that operate entirely on natural gas fuel.
Reliable Industrial Stack Exhaust Gas Flow Measurement Devices
Measuring industrial stack exhaust gas flow is not a simple task and can present various challenges. Exhaust gases often have very high temperatures (up to 400–500°C), may contain dust particles and corrosive substances, and can also include moisture vapor. Therefore, when selecting an exhaust gas flow meter for direct installation on a stack, it is essential to consider the specific operating conditions and characteristics of the plant.
Below are some recommended and reliable stack exhaust gas flow measurement devices:

DURAG DFL-100 Exhaust Gas Flow Meter
The DFL-100 is a flow measurement device with integrated temperature and pressure sensors.
- Wide flow measurement range: 3–40 m/s or 0–3,000,000 m³/h
- Accuracy: <2% of measuring range
- Exhaust gas temperature range: up to 400°C (optional up to 800°C)
- Exhaust gas pressure range: -700 to 1000 hPa, with higher ranges available upon request
- Certified by TÜV Germany
IMR Environmental Equipment, Inc. IMR150 Exhaust Gas Flow Meter
- Flow measurement range: 3…30 m/s or 0…3,000,000 m³/h
- Exhaust gas temperature range: 0…280°C (up to 800°C available upon request)
- Differential pressure range: 0…10 mbar
The IMR150 model is a reliable continuous flow and temperature measurement device featuring a compact design for easy installation and operation. In addition, the device requires minimal maintenance time and effort. Its durability is also highly appreciated.
MRU GmbH DF-252 Exhaust Gas Flow Meter

(customizable) - Exhaust gas temperature range: 0…300°C
(optional up to 800°C) - Pressure range: -10 kPa ~ +10 kPa
(customizable)
Dr. Födisch Umweltmesstechnik AG FMD 09 Exhaust Gas Flow Meter
- Flow measurement range: 0…30 m/s or 0…3,200,000 m³/h
- Exhaust gas temperature range: 0…300°C
(optional up to 800°C) - Differential pressure: 0…5 mbar (0…10 mbar)
(measurement uncertainty <1%) - Absolute pressure (optional): 800…1200 mbar
Most exhaust gas flow measurement devices are equipped with integrated temperature and pressure measurement functions. They are especially durable under harsh industrial working environments. More importantly, the above-mentioned devices are capable of fully meeting technical standards and regulatory requirements in Vietnam.
Monitoring exhaust gas flow becomes simpler and more efficient with specialized exhaust gas flow meters.
The above stack exhaust gas flow meters are officially distributed in the Vietnamese market by Asin Vietnam.
